THE BEST OF 2021

 

2021 was another very slow year for me. I wasnt able to lead any tours due to the ongoing pandemic. Instead I focussed on some local shoots in the spring and a really great trip to Panama in the fall. I also started up a new YouTube show with my buddy Jan Wegener. So if you havent checked out "The Bird Photography Show" yet on YouTube what are you waiting for??

BRITISH COLUMBIA

With no real ability to travel for the first half of the year I focussed my energiy on local birds around the Victoria area. To be honest it was fun getting re-acquainted with some of my local birds.

And with my trusty new R5 I think I was able to push the limits on a few images (especially the Violet-green Swallows).

Overall I enjoyed the Spring here close to home and came away with some strong images that I am proud of...

PANAMA

The only real trip I was able to take in 2021 was to Panama for 3 weeks in November.

It was so nice to be back in the tropics and I had a very productive time chasing around some really special and cool birds!

I'm hoping to set up a tour there as well so stay tuned for that and be sure to email me if you want to be placed on the "wish list".
