THE BEST OF 1/4 of 2020
2020 started with so much
promise. I led successful tours in Colombia and South Ecuador. I had several
exciting shoots planned for Argentina and Panama later in the year. But we
all know that those plans came crashing down. It has been very, very
depressing...
I've tried to stay productive and updated my
popular "Post Processing Simplified" guide and continued to produce new EBook
content through my "Process with Me" series of Photoshop guides.
But overall I'm just trying to patiently wait
until we get out of this horrible pandemic so I can get back to doing what I
love and actually having a job.

COLOMBIA
The year
once again began in Colombia where I led my annual Photo Workshop in this beautiful Andean nation. It was a great tour and we had so many incredible photo opportunities.
After the trip I flew down to a remote
community near Venezuela to target several species from the White Sand Forests.

SOUTH ECUADOR
A few weeks after Colombia
I packed up again and headed back to the Andes. This time to lead a tour in the south of Ecuador.
The tour was a great
success and we found tonnes of good birds to photograph. After the trip I
snuc off to the Choco region for a very productive 5 day shoot.

AND THEN THE WORLD CHANGED....
BRITISH COLUMBIA
Post Covid the only other shoot I was able to
get in was for a few days with my good buddy Jess Findlay in the BC interior.
We had a really fun time and managed some great
images of Flammulated Owls thanks to Jess' Owling skills and very hard work.

The first 3
months of 2020 was great. The rest has been like a nightmare.
2021 is unfortunately going to bring more
of the same uncertainty and restrictions on travel. I'm hopeful that I'll
be able to get a few shoots in. But who knows...
